The Dan-Loc Stud is a tap end stud with a proprietary design that controls the thread depth. This ensures that multiple Dan-Loc Studs threaded into a flange will protrude from the flange face at the exact same length.

• Diameter size range: 1/2” – 4” diameter (Smaller diameters available upon  request).
• Threads: Dan-Loc threads American Class 2A fit for National Coarse Series and for 8 Thread Series Thread Depth is controlled by patented Dan-Loc design.
• Positive thread locking feature.
• Fatigue tested, stronger than conventional stud bolt.

  • Length overall (L) – End-to-end (If first thread to first thread is required, order must so specify)

Combination studs have threaded sections that differ from one end to the other. One end of the stud may have a different thread class than the other or have different diameter than the other.

• Diameter size range: 1/2” – 3 1/2” in diameter.
• Threads – Threads shall be Unified National Class 2A fit, 8 thread series, or as specified by customer.
• When ordering, please specify:
  • Diameter (D) and (D1)
  • Length (L) – End-to-end dimension (If first thread to first thread is required, order must specify) Thread length (T) and (T1) thread series
• Prints should be furnished on Combination Studs whenever possible.

Dan-Loc is a leading manufacturer and distributor of double end studs which are threads of equal length and diameter on both ends. Double end studs are used for flange bolting with a nut at both ends. We offer double ended studs in a variety of materials including stainless steel and exotic alloy materials.

Tap end studs have have a different thread length at each end of the stud. The shorter thread length is called the tap end and is threaded into the tapped hole of a flange. The longer thread length is called the nut end.

Dan-Loc can produce tap end studs with custom radius and relief specifications as well as close tolerances and special thread forms and classes.

Dan-Loc is the largest manufacturer of B7M and L7M modified stud bolts in the US. Our goal is always consistent quality. Our continuous feed furnace allows Dan-Loc to product bolts within tighter tolerances than required by ASTM.

Modified Stud Bolts

Where hydrogen embrittlement is a concern, out modified stud bolts are stocked in a range of sizes or can be manufactured to your needs.

• Modifying stud bolts prevents against hydrogen embrittlement that causes dangerous cracks and failures.
• All Modified B7M and L7M stud bolts are 100% hardness tested per ASTM A193 and A320 specifications.
• All modified nuts are Rockwell harness tested.
• L7M studs are Charpy tested to ASTM 320 specifications.
